Clear aligner treatment can look pricey because so much of the work happens behind the scenes. The fee typically covers:

• Custom manufacturing. Every aligner in your series is made specifically for your teeth, often dozens of trays over the course of treatment.
• Digital treatment planning. Your orthodontist maps out each stage of tooth movement in 3D before the first aligner is made.
• Expert supervision. Regular check-ins make sure teeth are tracking as planned, with adjustments or refinement aligners when needed.
• Retention. Keeping your new smile in place after treatment is part of the plan.

Braces involve the same planning, expertise and follow-up, which is why the total cost often ends up similar.

What Affects the Cost of Orthodontic Treatment?

• Case complexity: crowding, spacing and bite problems all affect how long treatment takes.
• Treatment length: longer treatment means more visits and, with aligners, more trays.
