Meet the Team

I am the one who REALLY runs the office. I will happily meet and greet you when you come in. I may even sit in the chair next to you while you wait in our waiting room. Though usually you will find me laying right in the center of the office so I can keep my eye on everything, and make sure “my people” are doing what they should be doing.

I love the new picture they took of me because it makes me look so much bigger than I am. I'm really only about 16 inches tall and 25 lbs. They tell me I'm full grown, but with all those yummy treats given to me from Dr. Comella's patients I don't think I will ever be done growing.

I was born July '06 and have been living and working with Dr. Comella since September, 2006. I am a Shiba Inu which is a Japanese breed (Inu means dog in Japanese). Shiba Inu's are generally independent dogs, and like most dogs, socialization at a young age can have a major impact on temperament. With the proper upbringing, a Shiba's loyalty will keep the dog with its owner for life.

So far, Dr. Comella has been bringing me up right, so I don't leave his side too often; I keep my eye on him at all times to make sure he's doing his job the way I want.

It is my goal to make you and everyone in your family as comfortable as possible as you begin the rewarding adventure of orthodontic treatment with us. I am the person who will meet and greet you at your initial consultation appointment. During this visit, I will help Dr. Comella with the clinical exam and review all treatment recommendations and financial options available. Please feel free to call me at anytime if you have any questions as you get started with us in our fun office.

My husband, David, and I have lived in Penfield for twenty years, and we just love this community. We have four children, Kristin (25), Jaclyn (23), John (19), and Alex (14). . In my spare time, you'll catch me at the Penfield High School basketball games watching our son, Alex, shoot those three pointers, or on the soccer field hoping for a goal! I also enjoy amateur photography and relaxing with my wonderful family and friends.

After 33 joyful years teaching children in grades 1-5 in the Penfield School District, I am happy to be joining the team at Comella Orthodontics. The opportunity to work with families and individuals as they investigate orthodontic care is exciting. As your treatment coordinator, I will be with you during your initial consultation appointment and assist Dr. Comella with the clinical exam. I will review the treatment recommendations and financial options available to you. If you have any questions, I am happy to answer them and assist you in any way I can. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and confident through the process of orthodontic care. And, of course, my ultimate goal is to assist in putting a sensational smile on your face!

My husband and I live in downtown Rochester in the East End. We love the convenience of being in the heart of the cultural district. On the weekends you can find us going to The Little Theatre, GEVA, the Eastman Theatre, and enjoying the many restaurants and coffee shops in the area. I love to cook, solve crossword puzzles, read, do volunteer work in our neighborhood and at the school I taught in for 30 years and spend time with my family (I have 5 sisters!) I also have a real estate license and love helping folks find that perfect home!

During your orthodontic care I will work a lot with you. I assist Dr. Comella by accomplishing the simple parts of treatment that he has carefully planned. I will take out your wires and evaluate your oral hygiene at every visit, and will help you if you need extra attention with your brushing and flossing technique. Oh yeah, please take 3 minutes to brush your teeth at our tooth brushing station before you sit down. This helps Dr. Comella and I see the areas that may need some extra care. I know we’ll have a great time together and would like you to call me if you have any questions about your treatment.

I grew up in Webster and graduated R.L Thomas HS in 1990. I would consider myself very social and I really enjoy outdoor activities. Throughout the summer I enjoy camping, kayaking, fishing and hiking. Rochester winters may not be enjoyed by most, but my fiancé, David, and I enjoy the snow for our snowmobile adventures throughout the state. I have also trained in Tae Kwon Do for over 10 years and have achieved a second degree black belt — so please leave your attitude out of our office...Just Kidding! If there is one thing that I have learned from my years of training it is to believe in yourself and anything can be achieved.

I am the person to meet and greet you primarily at our Victor office. I will be the friendly voice that will help you when you schedule your appointments or have questions with any portion of your treatment. I have worked for Heritage Christian Services for 16 years with people with developmental disabilities and that has been so rewarding for me. I enjoy making a positive difference in someone’s life, starting with a smile.

My husband and I live in Farmington. We have 4 grown children, 8 grandchildren and a 1-year-old great granddaughter. My favorite hobby is to work in my garden.

During your orthodontic treatment I assist Dr. Comella with some of the routine procedures. If you have any questions that I could answer for you, please ask me.

I grew up in Canandaigua and graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 2001. For the past 3 years I have lived in Farmington with my son, Kyle (6), and our two cats, Lazerbeam and Lucy. I like to spend a lot of time with my family and friends, and I enjoy the outdoors. People say that I'm easygoing and am easy to work with, and I look forward to meeting and working with every new patient that comes to our office.

I live in Penfield with my husband Ben, our beautiful daughter Brooklyn, and our two cats Max and Abby. I enjoy having friends and family over for barbecues in our awesome summer weather. I also enjoy taking Seidokan (a form of martial arts) at my fathers school on a weekly basis to learn a sense of discipline and to help stay in shape.
